Steve Gilbert, Carmen Grande and Meg Picanco bring over 40 years of combined experience in retail and design work to WGHG. Steve is well known in Willow Glen for his stunning design projects for both the home and the garden. He created the look of the store by building the walls and sales counter himself. The tromple l'oeil painting in the garden area is his fantastic work in progress. Meg founded Casa Casa with her mom Nancy Biagini in 1992 and owned it for 13 years. She created the look everyone loved so much. Carmen was a designer at Casa Casa for 14 years. Her inspiration comes from her friends at the Los Gatos Porch. She loves to mix classic pieces with something unexpected. "As much time was we spend at home, you should love being there," Carmen says. "Life is too short to live with white walls."
So many people are intimidated by designers. We offer in home consultation in a very casual setting. We help with color choices, space planning, furniture selection and accessorizing. Usually an hour in home consultation ($125) is enough. The remainder of the work is done in the store at no charge. We specialize in helping people create a home that really reflects who they are. We do this by pulling together what they have and then add what they need. We offer a check list of things we suggest be done in the home. The client can then work on each item as their budget allows.
